Maxim® Selected by Hyatt Hotels Corporation to Enhance Hyatt's Revenue Management System
CHICAGO, 15-June-2002-Hyatt Hotels Corporation has licensed maxim® from Maxim Revenue Management Solutions (MaximRMS) to enhance and upgrade the capabilities of Hyatt's current revenue management system. Hyatt has also engaged MaximRMS to provide ongoing advanced revenue management support.
Hyatt has been using an earlier version of the maxim® technology in its North American and Caribbean hotels since 1996 with great success. Hyatt's revenue management system utilizes maxim's patented Marginal Value Engine, to achieve the highest level of revenue from rate and room offerings. maxim® is the first Revenue Management Solution that blends advanced forecasting and optimization algorithms with extremely user-friendly navigation screens and tools. These unique features ensure that maxim® can be adapted for use in large or small hotels and in a variety of operating environments - the result is that each hotel can achieve the greatest revenue benefit in the least amount of time.
Hyatt's revenue management system will continue to be highly integrated with their SPIRIT central reservations system as well as with their property management systems. Hyatt plans to deploy their customized version of maxim® to all North American and Caribbean hotels. MaximRMS will be working closely with Hyatt and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) on this project; CSC performs IT outsourcing for Hyatt.
"We are delighted that maxim has been selected by Hyatt Hotels Corporation to enhance their current system," said Steve Gelb, Managing Director of MaximRMS. "We are also proud to have been selected to provide advanced revenue management assistance to Hyatt Hotels Corporation to support the deployment of maxim® to all of Hyatt's North American and Caribbean hotels."
"CSC is pleased to work closely with MaximRMS and Hyatt on this strategic project," said Scott Andersen, Account Executive for CSC. "CSC's systems integration, deployment and operational expertise combined with MaximRMS' outstanding product and revenue management expertise has allowed this project to move forward quickly and provide immediate value to Hyatt."
