Originally established as Yield
Management Systems (YMSI) in 1989, MaximRMS' has an extensive history of
providing expert consulting in the areas of yield/revenue management,
as well as analysis and implementation of yield management systems.
Revenue Management in the Hospitality Industry
In the mid-1980's with the deregulation of the airline industry and
pricing controls lifted, major airline companies conducted massive research
in mathematical forecasting and optimization to maximize revenues.
During this period the founder of MaximRMS directed the team that developed
the first automated revenue management system. The knowledge gained
and the success shown soon spread to the car rental industry in the late
1980's and ultimately to the hospitality industry in the mid-1990's.
The same group of experts that performed extensive revenue management research
in the 1980's joined efforts with MaximRMS in 1995 to create maxim® e.FLEX's
predecessor,
maxim®. As a worldwide leader in revenue management, MaximRMS has
been the exclusive distributor of all maxim® products upon initial
release.
At the beginning of 2001 MaximRMS acquired all of the intellectual property
rights to all maxim® products and the underlying mathematics. MaximRMS
has assembled a team of the mathematicians and software experts from those
involved in the original development of the first maxim® release.
MaximRMS' team of experts has recently released a series of major enhancements
and continue to develop new and innovative revenue management and profit
optimization features.
